About us
Advokatfirmaet Algeroy AS is a specialized law firm that assists Norwegian and international clients in business law. We have a number of small and medium-sized companies in our customer portfolio, in addition to organisations, private individuals and embassies.
Our areas of expertise mainly include advice and dispute resolution related to employment law , company law and contract law . Our customer portfolio includes everything from entrepreneurs and start-ups within the technology sector to larger businesses.
We assist clients all over the country and have offices in Kviteseid in Telemark, and in Oslo.
Competence
Our assistance in company law includes, among other things, the establishment and transformation of companies, as well as assistance related to mergers, demergers, capital increases and capital reductions, acquisitions (M&A), sales and transaction support. We also advise our clients in connection with tax and duty, shareholder agreements, board responsibilities etc
We deal with employment law issues on a daily basis and have, among other things, assisted our clients with the implementation of restructuring and downsizing processes, redundancies, business transfers and termination of employment. We also provide advice related to employment agreements, working hours, notification, sick leave, hiring/hiring of labor etc.
We assist with the preparation, quality assurance and revision of commercial contracts . This includes agreements that naturally form part of company and employment law, in addition to more industry-specific contracts such as agency agreements, distribution agreements, agreements of intent, commission agreements, and confidentiality agreements. We have also drawn up a number of terms of use for online and app-based solutions. A significant part of the contract work we have carried out for our clients includes active assistance in contract negotiations and dispute resolution in case of breach of contract.
Africa
The law firm Algeroy has close ties to East Africa, and assists Norwegian and international clients who run, or want to run, commercial activities or aid in Africa. There are many challenges associated with running a business on the African continent, and through our local experience and network of partners, we are able to assist our clients with the establishment and operation of business in East Africa.
We mainly assist our clients with legal services within our areas of expertise. In practice, the assistance will often include needs that arise in connection with the implementation of local projects, including negotiations with authorities and other actors, obtaining approvals and licenses, due diligence of local companies or organisations, and issues related to local labor etc.
Petter Algerøy

Petter is the general manager of the company.
Petter has extensive experience from contract work, and works in particular with contract negotiations in various areas of law. Petter has also assisted a number of clients with dispute resolution and has led over 100 cases before Norwegian courts.
Petter has lived for longer periods in Kampala, Uganda and worked on legal issues related to commercial projects in various countries in East Africa. Through his work, Petter has established a network of partners in East Africa and gained valuable insight into the challenging business environment in the region.
Petter has a master's degree from the University of Oslo (2012), specializing in employment law.

Homayoun Hamzeloe
Homayoun assists clients primarily with corporate legal advice as well as mergers, acquisitions (M&A), sales and transaction support. He has worked with Norwegian and international private equity funds, and has assisted Norwegian and international companies on both the buyer and seller side in strategic M&A transactions and investments.
Homayoun has experience as a project manager from a number of transactions and considerable experience in implementing mergers and demergers within various industries. His most important areas of expertise are contract and company law.
Homayoun has many years of experience as a lawyer from some of the country's largest law firms, including EY, Schjødt and Wiersholm.
Homayoun has a master's degree from the University of Oslo (2014), specializing in company and contract law.
